Creating a culturally synergistic workplace is something most leaders will have to face in their career; likely multiple times. Using the same organization that you selected for the Homework #1 assignment complete the following: I choose Mark Zuckerburg, Facebook CEO as the organization to discuss. Step 1: Discuss the cultural makeup of the executive leadership of the organization, i.e., those that report directly to the CEO. Be sure to include relevant information regarding the executive teams background, demographics, socioeconomic status and perspectives focusing not only on what makes them diverse, but also on what makes them similar. Step 2: Identify 2-3 challenges, based on the cultural makeup of the leadership team, that you believe could cause this team to fail. Be very specific in identifying the challenges using Hofstedes Cultural Dimensions to determine the areas of challenge. Step 3: Offer a recommendation to address each challenge identified in Step 2. Focus on the role of the CEO, i.e., leader, in implementing each recommendation and explain, clearly and concisely how the CEOs leadership style directly affects (positively or negatively) the implementation of each recommendation. Be sure to fully support/explain each recommendation using APA formatted in-text citations; remember that all in-text citations must also be included in the reference section (conversely all references included in the reference section must be included as in-text citations). Additional Requirements: The paper must be between 3-4 pages, excluding the cover and reference pages. Include clear and succinct introduction and summary paragraphs. Use course readings, scholarly sources from the UMUC online library, and/or the weekly modules to support your analysis do not use Wikipedia as a source. You must use at least 5 sources published within the last three to five years. Follow APA style guidelines for the cover page, in-text citations and reference page (an abstract is not required for this assignment). The paper should be double-spaced with 1-inch margins with 12 pt. Times New Roman or 10 pt. Arial font.
